What is the Home Power-Cut Set?
Three practical items in one parcel: the Unwind Light Reel (rechargeable 10m light), the Backup Radio Hub (AM/FM with hand crank and solar backup) and the Foldaway Water Carrier (10L, supplied empty). It costs £79.99, £14.98 less than buying the three separately, and includes free UK delivery.
What does the UK Government advise?
The UK Government's “Be Ready” campaign (October 2026) suggests keeping enough supplies for 3 days, including a torch, a battery or wind-up radio, and 3 litres of drinking water per person per day. Our set covers the equipment side; food, water and medicines are not included.
Does the radio need batteries or mains power?
No mains needed. It has a hand crank and a solar panel as backup power, plus USB charging.
Is the water carrier filled?
No, it's supplied empty. It holds 10 litres, just over three days' drinking water for one person.
How much is delivery?
Free UK delivery on orders of £50 or more. Otherwise standard UK delivery is £4.99 and express is £6.99. See Delivery.
Can I return something?
Yes. You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order. See Returns & refunds.
Are you connected to the Government?
No. Afterlight is an independent UK retailer and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the UK Government.
